Actually, it was based on the book by L. Ron Hubbard.
Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000
Most of the camera angles seemed tilted hinting that the camera operators were either drugged or falling asleep.

the second one should be interesting since they left out; Steven Segal, Harrison Ford, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Clint Eastwood, Jackie Chan, Mel Gibson, Chuck Norris, Nicholas Cage, Vin Diesel, Tom Cruise, Keanu Reeves, Tommy Jaa....... and a lot more wrestlers: Triple H, Hulk Hogan, Goldberg, John Cena................. And maybe; George Clooney, Charlie Sheen, Pierce Brosnan, Hugh Jackman, Shaq, Mark Walberg, Danny Glover and Wesley Snipes when he gets out of jail:( I wishes if it were possible; Jean-Claude van Damme, Sean Connery, Bruce Lee, Charles Bronson,:(:(never gonna happen though....:) A BLOODY GOOD TIME:P

Predators
Miniguns only rotate their barrels whenever they feel like it.

I believe they commented that the frame rate of the film matched the rotation of the gun so it seem like it wasn't moving. In retrospect John McTiernan adjusted for the match so you can see the barrel rotate in Preadator.

I remember seeing that in the trailer, thinking they'll use a different take in the movie, but they didn't. Oh well.
  • 3rd August 2010 by cortex
good one, they really do, lol
Predators
One small predator can kill an entire team of special forces, BUT a group of three, more evolved and larger predators can't seem to kill a group of eight "chosen" individuals that are not trained as a team but separate conflicting individuals, 2 of those individuals only armed with a knife.

Why would you say that? AVPR made money, and this film came out 3 years after.
  • 27th July 2010 by cortex
I also failed to mention that the Predators also had "dogs" working for them and that they had some what of a terrain advantage as well:P. the poor predators still failed hard though :(. I liked the movie and I am hoping that they film another one with even a higher budget on the Predator's home planet, but thanks to AVPR the series probably wont be able to make enough money.

    LOL!

When you create a surrounding in "outer space" and generate enough special effects, you can resell the story of "Pocahontas" for billions of dolars

So true in every relation and aspect. I saw no difference and do think its a poor excuse to rip off Pocahontas's story to make profit.
Daybreakers
Bats no longer travel in large groups, but instead they fly solo and come out of nowhere making a screeching loud sound.

The Big Bats really brought the movie way down and not only was it the horrible screeching, but also the fact that all 3 Bat "episodes" were during day light and yes wtf was that single Bat doing hanging there in the open during the day, very confusing, were they trying to say that those Bats worked for the other Vampires as spy's or something?
