When trying to save the world from destruction, you should let your most useful mutant (Quicksilver) stay at home, as what possible use could he have been at stopping an assassination. Its better to give him the day off, as otherwise, what would all the rest of the cast have to do. (0) Comments
Quicksilver is happy to stay at home and watch his new friends fight to the death on TV, trying to save the world instead of running over there and lending a hand. Thats Avengers quality characterisation right there. (0) Comments
Tazers in the 1970's were very selective. One could be used to take down a mutant like Mystique who can survive a jump off a multi storey high building but a normal man being continuously electrocuted with one for 10 minutes straight can just rip it off himself and be perfectly fine.
The X-Men franchise is owned by Fox, and we will make sure you know this by having the letter X in the word 'Fox' stay on screen for a second longer than all the rest of the letters, because its the letter X. Get it? (1) Comments
There are underground concrete prisons, with over twenty guards and its own cafeteria, used to hold just one man with superpowers who killed the President. So I take it the death penalty was simply not an option then for a crime as big as his? (1) Comments
If a group of complete strangers asks you to break into the Pentagon and break out a super criminal who killed the President, you should do it for free, no questions asked because it's less boring than playing Ping Pong with yourself. (0) Comments
Xavier and Scott died because of Jean going haywire. This started when she tried Cerebro in X1. Since it's most likely that the past events changed Mystiques relation to Magneto, she propably didn't sabotaged Cerebro in the first place. It's called chain of events.
This was terrible in every way. X-Men Origins: Wolverine showed us he was fighting every war alongside with his brother Sabretooth and then they got executed in Vietnam and then recruited by Col. Stryker. Why was Logan in NY working as bodyguard at the same time? And where was Sabretooth? Since we are dealing with a timeline that hasn't been touched yet or even altered by old Logans presence we can only assume that the screenwriters are inbreed retards with brain cancer.
When you threaten the life of the President at the White House, all secret service agents will run away, and retreat into the house. Not a single person will actually try and stop the only bad guy causing the problem. In fact, not a single shot will get fired. (0) Comments
When you've taken control of eight Sentinels, and its time for the big fight at the end - only send one of those Sentinels in to do the job, as the other seven would obviously have been overkill. (1) Comments
The only really big personal disappointment I had in this film. I was hoping Wolverine would climb on its back and try to slice off its head. And I was hoping to see the X men take on multiple 70's sentinels.
Yeah, nice but obsolete info. I doubt Magneto found the time after WW2 and his obsessive hunt for Nazis, his struggle with Shaw, the events after Xavier got shot or being busy "saving" JFK and then imprisioned for 10 years (!!!!) to settle down with a girl and knock her up? He doesn't seem very interested in homo sapien women.
If you have a device that can detect mutants, don't keep it on at all times and certainly don't use it to make sure no mutants will come to the big Presidential announcement (plain metal detectors will do just fine). (0) Comments
Even after ten years of not setting foot in the underground X-Mansion training rooms, it will not get dusty. And there will be no spider-webs because were the 'X-Men' and we don't have anything to do with Spiders. (0) Comments
Wolverines healing powers also allow him to come back to life after dying from drowning, and resting on the lake floor for days, while impaled with multiple iron bars.
I didn't know healing powers work like that, once your dead. (3) Comments
Magnetos metal bending powers apparently have a range, as he couldn't use his powers on the metal elevator when locked in the concrete prison. But then he can lift an entire football stadium which was quite a distance away from him, and later lift the X-jet into an army of Sentinels - so which is it? (4) Comments
Magneto Ex Machina. He can feel metal, but his range varies in such extreme ways that you can only consider the screenwriters had to catch up to not break the story by creating plot holes. Keep in mind what he did with the Golden Gate Bridge in X3.
Hank has perfected the formula that can temporarily neutralise the mutant gene. Probably a good idea to make it into a tranq dart and hit Magneto with it. In fact, with a gun like that, you pretty much make every mutant fight they will ever have later obsolete.
So what are the chances that he will give it to Rogue later so that she and Bobby can... (1) Comments
It seemed Azrael and friends were all executed within the last ten years, and their bodies were autopsied on by Trask. But because Magneto killing the president is so high profile, he is exempt from the same punishment as the others, even though it would have saved everyone a fortune in keeping him locked up. (1) Comments
How they were able to catch/kill Azazel - who is one of the most talented teleporters - is a mystery. Wich reminds me - aren't Azazel and Mystique the real parents of Nightcrawler? Wouldn't that make Nightcrawler somewhat 40+ years old in X2?
Magneto was caught by American secret service while trying to bend a bullet. But how exactly did these normal humans who knew nothing about what a mutant was, or what Eriks powers were actually catch him? And then why did they put him in a non-metallic prison, when they had no idea who or what he was? (0) Comments
Video cameras of the past will still work without a cameraman to press the rec button, while being controlled by magnetic forces - and that wont erase the tape or cause massive interference. So 70s video ribbon tape technology is immune to magnetic forces then. (0) Comments
Wolverine spent days in the past and Kitty took the same amount of time sending him there. Forgoing the argument that neither of them starved to death, or needed to drink. I guess neither of them needed a toilet break either? I guess for that reason, we should just be happy they haven't invented 'smellovision' yet. (0) Comments
So, in the "First" movie we witness Xavier got shot and ended up paralyzed. 1963, the year of the JFK assassination turned out to be the same year Magneto got imprisioned (I wonder how they managed that) for 10 years. Meanwhile Hank McCoy developed a serum that helped Charles to be able to walk by the cost of his psychic powers. But for reasons unknown they built the fully operational Cerebro in the underground to do what? Get dusty? Sounds like a waste of money to me. (0) Comments
So, Banshee got killed after the events of the "first movie? Hm, he must be a time traveller too since he had a 10-year old daughter (Siren) who happens to be in the Xavier mansion during X2 in 2003. (0) Comments
Bury Magneto in a concrete prison a few hundred feet deep underground. They should have consulted a geologist since most metal we know today is found underground...really deep as "ore". They propably asked Magneto "can you still sense metal nearby?" ..."No? Good, then we're set" (0) Comments
Kitty's powers of phasing through walls, can now somehow also send people back in time, because it suits the plot, and it's not like anyone actually reads the comics anymore to fact check us. (2) Comments
No, that's lame. The space between atoms is large and Kitty can "shift" between them, becoming intangible like the Avenger Vision. Its not inter-dimensional travel cause she is still in her dimension cause her phasing causes an electronic device to short-circuit. Reason why X3 is tottally BS. The Juggernaut would be dead if she phased him halfway through the floor. The time travel power was pulled from the screenwriters arse cause it was Kitty Pride herself in the comics who made the jump.
Quicksilver can now apparently stop time, which is a completely different power to him moving fast. But the audience doesn't need to know how his powers work in regards to manipulating time as long as it looks good in the film. (1) Comments
Moving at super-speed does not create a vacuum of air or burn the sole of your feet. It can give people whiplash though, which must be prevented because if there is anything worst than a mutant terrorist with superpowers, its a lawyer with a lawsuit against you. (1) Comments
Azrael, Angel, Emma Frost and Banshee are now all dead, and ten years has passed since the events of First Class. But we don't need to see any of that, you'll just have to take our word for it. Even though it is apparently the motivation for Mystique's actions throughout the entire movie. (0) Comments
In the first film, Magneto destroys Xavier's legs with a bullet. In this film he destroys Xavier's legs with falling debris. Its going to be fun finding out what they do to his legs in the next film - or maybe they will move onto his hair? (1) Comments
Wolverines claws. Bones or metal? I guess that depends on if you take the plot of the last Wolverine movie into account. But when using the bone claws against a Sentinel, they wont snap off when pulled sideways while they are lodged within his arm. Because... (0) Comments
Ice Man doesn't have any cool lines, Sunspot is a little hot headed, Blink is in the film long enough that if you blink you will miss her and Bishop has a gun. Thats his power, to fire a gun. No-wonder he was edited out of the film's main plot. (1) Comments
Kittys new power is to send another persons consciousness back through time. So any guesses for how she learnt that she had this power or how it works? Because its not like this power is an obvious one, it takes minutes just to start the procedure. How would she have known this is what her power does or how to activate it? (1) Comments
When you send someone's conciousness back in time and days pass for them in their time period only a few minutes pass for you in yours. But no need to explain how that works though, just roll with it. (0) Comments
"I'll check the generator" means "I'll give you a few minutes to be alone with Wolverine so you can tap into his mind and talk to your future self and I'll come right back when you finish." (0) Comments
In the future, the mutants will use their powers against enemy Sentinels that have proven to be ineffective against them numerous times. They wont bother to recruit new mutants with new gifts, use their powers on their surroundings to their advantage or even use human weapons against them. Its as if they never even went to school. (0) Comments
Mystique, you couldn't have taken the helmet with you? Tossed it into the Potomac? Thrown it in a dumpster somewhere? Anything other than halfassedly tossing it two feet away from Magneto? (1) Comments
It seems that everyone knows a piece of metal around the head can stop Xavier taking control over you. So I guess when all the other mutants ordered there helmets from the online store, they got lost in the post? (1) Comments
Actually, this special helmet had some circuitry inside wich does the trick. Like Col. Strykers Neural Inhibitor from X2. To believe that some plain aluminium foil around your head would save you from telpathic attacks does make you end up look rather stupid.
In the future, the Sentinel program will have imprisoned all mutants. And that destroys the world how?
I mean, just because they showed us how a park was now a mutant prison, it doesnt mean the entire world is like that. The fact that the Sentinels are still being built and the prisons seem to have worked would suggets that for the entire human race, the rest of the Earth is a nice safe place to live in, without the threat of mutant terroists.
So seven mutants are allowed change time for their own benefit, and not to save the world. (0) Comments
When Xavier took control of Magneto in the final fight, he had him lift the debris of his legs. But couldn't be bothered to use him to put the stadium back where it belonged, save Wolverine from drowning or even turn off the remaining seven active Sentinels waiting to kill them all. (1) Comments
It's funny how they repeated the same mistake. In X-Men:First Class, Magneto left Charles on a remote Island - crippled and in pain while the ships may just be reading their next attack - with the help of Azazel, the powerful teleporter. No single thought left on the events that may happen next.
"Have fun being paraplegic for the next 60 seconds before the second wave of artillery shells will blow you apart"
Quicksilver can think and move so fast he can pick up bullets flying through the air. But moments earlier he touched a guards cheek and created ripples. Such speeds would certainly kill the guard, but how can the ripples be moving faster than a bullet? (0) Comments
Security at Trask Industries is so poor they allowed the worlds most wanted mutant terrorist on site and onto the train transporting the Sentinels.
If only the company had mutant detectors, oh wait they do. If only company declaring they can secure the world with their Sentinels could secure themselves first. (0) Comments
At the French peace talks, when a women covered in blue paint falls from a window and is shot, and is then pursued by a man with a gun, not a single person will come to this woman's aid. The entire crowd will just watch the woman get beaten up and the french security guards will do nothing to stop the terrorists, even though its their job. (0) Comments
Magneto bending a bullet was an attempt to save the President. But the President was still shot, which logic dictates that if he had just left it alone, it would have missed him. So his entire argument is false. (0) Comments
The sentinels were seconds away from killing wolverine in the future while laying on the table. Seemed almost like a rip off of the matrix scene where the sentinels were seconds away from killing neo. In both movies the sentinels were disabled at the last second. (0) Comments
Kitty Pride's power can destroy machines as she walks through them. Single handedly she could have destroyed those three Sentinels at the start without breaking a nail. She's such a team player by running away. (0) Comments
Kitty Pride used her powers to take Bishop into a locked room to begin the time travel bit. It took her ten minutes to run there. Thanks Blink, for not just transporting them there instantly. (0) Comments
Magneto can lift an entire football stadium and fly it over to the lawn of the White House, and no-one will see it until it gets there. No-one will dial 911, no planes will intercept, nothing. (0) Comments
If your going to go back in time and change things, it might be a good idea to check out the local sports results for that year first. There's a football match in Washington which is going to be killer. (0) Comments
When future Magneto sends Wolverine back, don't bother telling him about why he tried to kill the President. Or how he got out of prison the first time, before the whole time-travel scenario played out. As what use could all that info have been? (0) Comments
Magnetos plan was to betray everyone and kill Mystique himself, to prevent her blood getting into Trask's or the Goverments hand. Off course the first question is why not just kill Trask and make sure Mystique gets away?
Then you have to ponder why he would shoot her with a single bullet, spilling her blood. And why he wouldn't just fire all six bullets in the gun, rather than just one.
And then why he wouldn't use his powers to pick up the same bullet that shot her in the leg and use it again, and again, and again on Beast also. (0) Comments
Old Beast should get a camreo at the end, as his charcter is important. But Kelsey Grammer, the actor that plays him doesnt derserve to be even mentioned in the credits because nobody cares about him. (0) Comments
In the future, they will have invented collars that the prisoners in the camps have to wear to stop them from activating their powers. So people like Rogue, Beast, Blob and all the other deformed Mutants can live happy, normal lives.
But who cares about those mutants, and all the happy humans across the world when a small handful of mutants want to keep using their powers. So much so, that they are willing to potentially destroy the entire space time continuum. And they are the heroes why? (0) Comments
Wolverine travels back to 1970 and finds Quicksilver as he can help them on their quest. But he then choses not to enlist the help of any of the other mutants he must have met during his very long life. Nor does he contact any of his Weapon X friends. How about young Cyclops, Jean or Iceman? Its not as if he's trying to save the world or anything now is it?
Wolverine has the chance to kill young Magneto, before any of his actions for the next forty-five years. Saving countless lives and making mutants the good guys again. But instead, he chooses to let him live, and kills a girls three bodyguards instead because he wants to steal her car. And were routing for him because? (0) Comments
The only villain in this movie was Richard Nixon and no one (especially from the future) thought it might be not so bad to shoot him instead of Bolivar Trask. C'mon Mystique, killing midgets in public is political incorrect but a major duochebag president should be ok...its american tradition! (0) Comments
Although Mystique can mimic other people's appearance, she can never replicate their abilities/mutations. That's why we should use her DNA to invent some robots that can mimic the mutation/ability of mutants. (0) Comments
If you have the power to stop hundreds of bullets, missiles and mortars all together in an instant, when it comes to save the president's life just bend the single bullet a little. Stopping it obviously is not an option. (0) Comments
