Half-Vulcans, half-Romulans can apparently get into Starfleet in the 23rd century and no one will blink an eye, but someone who's 1/8th Romulan can get nearly drummed out of the service in the 24th. (ST: TNG-- "The Drumhead") (1) Comments
You know... unless the explosion of Ceti Alpha VI shifted Ceti Alpha V's orbit so badly that it knocked it beyond even Ceti Alpha VII (which we don't even know exists), the Reliant crew dropped the ball on this one. What, they can't start from the sun and count five planets out? (0) Comments
The Reliant's crew has been searching the entire Alpha Quadrant for a planet that's completely lifeless, and has been having no success?! REALLY? In the 21st century we haven't found one apart from Earth that *has* life! (1) Comments
In the novelization, it was mentioned that in addition to needing a lifeless planet, the planet had to meet certain criteria, such as being terrestrial, having its orbit fall within a habitable zone of the planet, and having a certain degree of mass. There were many different variables. Finding a planet that met *all* the criteria was difficult, and quite frustrating to the Reliant crew, who'd been searching out one for months.
So, was the first part of Spock's coded message, in which he explains what code he's using-- "if we go by the book, hours may seem like days" not intercepted by Khan, but the rest of it was? (0) Comments
